The twelfth, annual Cyprus Championship, held by SailFirst Sailing Club, has come to a close. The club started its journey in Cyprus in 2012, pursuing the ambitious target of developing the sport of sailing on the island and throughout the Eastern Mediterranean. It might be difficult to believe, but back then, the coast was almost completely clear of sails, apart from the occasional visitor from continental Europe. Today, SailFirst is one of the leaders in its field, here in Limassol. There are plenty of competitions, and hundreds of Athletes, passionate about sailing. The club offers training for Adults and Children alike, races taking place regularly, with the aim of attracting amateurs athletes from all over the world. After over 10 years of the club’s activity, we can confidently say, that we’ve successfully planted the seed of sailing in Cyprus. The island has become a centre for world-class competitions. Throughout these years, SailFirst has gained a large following. Congratulations to SailFirst Club on its 12th anniversary, which is to be celebrated in November 2024, and this years winners of the Winter Series, the team Intercrewing, captained by Pavel Stepanov!
